Culture Net Getting Ready To Roll Out Across West Midlands

Staffordshire Arts

Culture Net is being produced by Arts Connect West Midlands and being designed to capture and present information about young people’s current and potential engagement in arts and culture and will signpost children and young people to arts and culture activities and opportunities.

It is hoped it will become the primary source of information on arts and cultural provision for children and young people in the West Midlands.

It will contain information on theatre, music, film, media, digital arts, dance, visual arts, museums, archives, libraries and heritage organisations.

As a major resource it will signpost schools and other organisations who work with children and young people to arts and culture opportunities and resources

It will also profile the major providers of cultural services for 0 to 19 year olds in schools and other settings.

We have yet to see how deep the information will be, but it is promised to be more than just a listing or directory, and will be a real planning tool to help people to deliver their work with young people, as well as providing the most up to date an accurate information on arts and culture opportunities available.

A great video has been produced which shows off the potential, (struggled to spot any Staffordshire landmarks in the video, did you?).  No date as yet to when it will go live but should be very soon.
