As part of Trent Arts autumn season of lectures, join Kathy Niblett, Retired Curator Potteries Museum and Art Gallery as she explores the life of Staffordshire artist Reginald Haggar

Kathy will be presenting a detailed talk on the work of Reginald Haggar and the three main strands of his career: painting, pottery and teaching. Kathy knew Haggar personally and has an unrivalled knowledge of his life, paintings and pottery.
The Potteries museum’s unparalleled collection of Haggar’s work will be used to chronicle his career. These include not only watercolours and sketches, but also sketchbooks and designs for some of his books.

Haggar’s work chronicled an important era in Stoke-on-Trent’s history and his paintings provide a unique social commentary on the city.

The lecture Reginald Haggar: Social Chronicler of Stoke on Trent will be presented by Guest Speaker Kathy Niblett on Thursday 27th October 2016 from 7pm at The Potter’s Club, Federation House, Station Road, Stoke on Trent ST4 2SA
