Stoke Your Fires Film Festival 2013

Staffordshire Arts

Stoke Your Fires Film Festival is Stoke-On-Trent’s very own celebration of regional filmmaking.

The festival takes place annually at various venues across the city centre and focuses on inspiring people, promoting local talent and creating opportunities for the whole sector, by delivering a fascinating programme of innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship.

This year Stoke Your Fires is celebrating the best of British cinema and opens with the UK festival premiere of independent British film, Pulp.

Other screenings of British made works include Last Shop Standing, Turbulence and Tortoise in Love, all made here in the UK, with Q&A with the Directors.

To celebrate Michael Caine’s 80th birthday in March there is a day of some of his classic films and see another very British institution Daniel Craig as 007 in Casino Royale.

The Producers’ Forum and Staffordshire University will be bringing some fantastic masterclasses and networking opportunities for filmmakers to the festival programme.

The festival takes place over two venues, the Mitchell Arts Centre and the Potteries Museum & Art Gallery both in Stoke-on-Trent City Centre.
