Best New Play awarded at glittering Olivier Awards

Staffordshire Arts

The best new play awarded at this years glittering annual ‘thesp fest’ was The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time at the National’s Cottesloe theatre and the Apollo theatre, and best actor was Luke Treadaway from the very same production.

A stunning piece of work, now booking through to January 2014.  I’m afraid unless it tours to Staffordshire next year, a trip to London looks like its on the cards.

A full run down of the principal awards are here along with an interesting history of the annual Lawrence Olivier Awards – including a fascinating connection to Staffordshire’s very own Wedgwood
