Make Your Move Dance Competition Staffordshire Heats

The British Red Cross is seeking groups of young people from across the area to participate in the national ‘Dance: Make Your Move’ competition and the Staffordshire regional heat of the Dance:Make Your Move Project takes place at the Mitchell Arts Centre in Stoke-on-Trent on Saturday 15 June.

As well as having the opportunity of performing in the final at the O2 in London, also up for grabs are dance workshops with the Royal Academy of Dance for the winners.  A ‘Friend of the Academy RAD membership’ is also awarded to winning choreographers

Dance: Make Your Move is open to any community or school groups to choreograph and perform their own routine. The event is a Red Cross initiative and  is open to everyone regardless of their ability, and can use movement, music or costume to reflect the work of the Red Cross in some way.  Dancers must be under 18: junior groups are aged 4 – 11 and the senior category is for 12 – 18-year-olds
