In the Mood for a Vintage Dance to Victory in Staffordshire?

Squeeze into your vintage frock, button up your braces  and swing on down to Staffordshire County Showground on 18 May for a night of 1940s inspired music and dance, all for the very best of causes.

The Ingestre Suite at Staffordshire County Showground, Stafford, will be taking a trip back in time as Pitch in for Victory Presents ‘Dance to Victory’ – an exclusive 1940s seated ticketed event in aid of the Women’s Land Army Tribute.

Organisers Lotty Blue and Always Red Events promise a super night of vintage exuberance, to celebrate the work of our Land Girls and Lumber Jills and raise funds for a lasting memorial to them at the National Memorial Arboretum in Alrewas, Staffordshire.

The dress code is of course vintage inspired & vintage encouraged! That means 1940s style, military, with gents being asked to wear forties Civvies Jacket and Tie or Military, and  Ladies 1930s/1940s Evening Dress.

[h3]Headline Billing[/h3]

Winston Churchill (alias Steve McTigue) will be your master of ceremonies and compere the evening which along with welcome drinks and themed buffet, will feature a one night only billing of entertainment headlined with two performances by the stunning 1940s style singing sweetheart Lola Lamour (Pictured Above) and  introducing  the simply wonderful Miss Laura Bill

[h3]Tribute Auction[/h3]

A ‘Tribute Auction’ which has been supported with fabulous auction lots donated from local businesses.

[blockquote]Lots listed include an exclusive Fifty Three Deluxe Sofa from G Plan Vintage Designs in collaboration with Wayne Hemingway Design (worth £1,500). Plus a vintage photography design package with EM Art Design, original ‘Dance to Victory’ artwork photography, Cheryl Hubbard—Old Blighty Days commissioned artwork and every girls dream bag donated by Cath Kidson. All funds raised from the auction will go directly to the Women’s Land Army Tribute.

Also on hand will be a chance to meet and greet with String of Pearls and ‘Winston Churchill’ and experience Vintage Photographer EM Arts Vintage Photography, with a memory print included in the ticket price

There will also be boutique vintage Stalls and a hair and beauty Salon (6-8pm booking in advance advised).

[h3]Dance till you Drop[/h3]

Then to finish the evening, put on your dancing shoes to end the evening with a nostalgic mix of 40’s music to jive and jitterbug to with the kooky and vibrantly entertaining String of Pearls  – dancing until 1am
