Jude Theatre Company invites youth in Staffordshire to have their say

A unique theatre company that merges performance with psychology is inviting young people 12 to 16 years who are interested in having a say to come along to a series of free drama workshops in Newcastle under Lyme.

Jude Theatre Company are inviting young people to creatively share their opinions and have their say about the changes they would like to see within their community. Through a series of free drama workshops, Jude Theatre Company wants to collaborate with young people in producing a piece of thought provoking performance; a creative campaign for change.

Workshops will take place at The Vision Centre in Chesterton on the following dates:

FRIDAYS:

5.30pm – 7pm between 27th February – 27th March

TUESDAYS:

6.30pm – 8pm between 21st April – 14th July

Jude is a Community Interest Applied Theatre Company based in Cheshire who deliver issue and educationally based drama workshops and projects across Staffordshire.

Established in 2008 by Ian Mackay, Jude Theatre Company has been working to enable others to see their place in life, with a clearer light, through the use of theatre.

They deliver performing arts issue based projects in schools, colleges, prisons, and community venues covering topics such as teenage pregnancy, heath education, substance misuse, crime and offending behaviour, unemployment.

They also facilitate youth and adult drama groups for main stream and those with learning difficulties to develop confidence, theatre skills, communication and team working skills.
