Lee Nelson arrested ahead of Staffordshire gig

Lee Nelson’s creator, comedy actor  Simon Bodkin, was arrested this month during a bizarre incident involving him staging a ‘ptch invasion’  and somehow managing to participate in a warm up with the Manchester City squad – albeit without there permission.

arrestedPlayers, including goalkeeper Joe Hart and Kolo Toure and assistant manager David Platt looked on in bemusement as Brodkin, whose is best known for his comic creation Lee Nelson, jogged along the touchline and did stretches.

The prank however turned has now turned sour it seems  for the popular comedy actor, who has a forthcoming live date at Stafford Gatehouse Theatre in April, as now Brodkin, 35, has been arrested and charged under the Football Offences Act.

Bordkin’s most famous character creation – Lee Nelson is a comedy character made famous varius BBC3 comedy vehicle shows such as Lee Nelson’s Well Good Show and Lee Nelson’s Well Funny People.  He has also hosted Live at the Apollo, sold out three Lee Nelson Live tours to over two million fans and has various DVD’s out.
